“Since July 17, 2012 -- the VOTE NO TO TAX LEVY signs promoted by the SAVE JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL campaign -- have been carried in 80 demonstrations totaling 230 hours, which is equivalent to walking nearly 700 miles.
The signs have been carried along the streets and avenues of Ward 18 and beyond, in Kamms Corners, in Tremont, in downtown, in front of City Hall and the Board of Education Building, on the East Side, at Board of Education meetings, and at other locations.
Everywhere I have encountered sustained opposition to the levy.
City Hall and their promoters have used dirty tricks to muzzle the opposition.
Some of our yard signs have been stolen.
All my comments that were critical of Mayor Jackson and CEO Gordon – saying they were not honest and trustworthy on the $50 million John Marshall High School project – and thus could not be trusted for the 15-mill levy have been deleted from The Plain Dealer's website: Cleveland.Com and I have also been barred from posting any further comments.
The more the promoters of the levy try to muzzle our campaign -- the more energized I feel. Supporters of the levy -- can do all the song and dance they wish -- while their ship the :"15-MILL LEVY TITANIC" keeps on sinking.
The SAVE JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL campaign has a group on Facebook and has three YouTube videos. Our red, white and blue SAVE JOHN MARSHALL! VOTE NO TO TAX LEVY! signs have been distributed all over Cleveland. “
