YOUNG BROWNS IN JEFFERSON PARK ON THE FIRST DAY OF JUNE 2021
What a pleasant surprise!
I left our house shortly after 6:00 p.m. on a – sometimes partly sunny and sometimes partly cloudy – and overall -- a very pleasant 70 deg. F evening of Tuesday the first day of June 2021.
I was on my way for a walk around Jefferson Park and a one-hour game of solo tennis. I usually walk counter-clockwise.
Our house on Cooley Avenue – faces the south side of the park – and my eyes are transfixed on the park – anytime I am outside the house. And even when I am inside – we have four rooms with eight windows that face the park.
And on most days -- the south lawn is empty.
Not today!
The south lawn was packed with over a dozen Young Browns playing football – American football --under the watchful eyes of their coaches.
Now I don’t know anything about American football – but when I see a player throw the ball and another player catch it – and run with it -- you can bet I get excited.
And excited I was – as for a full five minutes I clicked 14-photographs to see if I could capture some dramatic action.
The attached four photographs should give you some idea about the drama that was taking place on the south lawn, on the first day of the sixth month of 2021 -- between a dozen young players chasing a ball.
And there were no bleachers with spectators – just a lone passerby who loves taking photographs and hitting a tennis ball with his racquet.
Go Browns!
