Hallamore Crane [1] service has their Terex lattice boom track crane [2] ready to lift the head connection to the top of the new Chelsea Creek, Boston [3] eastern lift bridge tower.
This is a sophisticated construction operation - traffic on the waterway and over the existing Basqule bridge [4] remain uninterrupted as the new - longer, wider, and higher elevating bridge is constructed. Survey for this job has to be precise [5] - the bolts have to go into the holes.
It will be interesting to explore the cost of this new bridge versus the cost of the 3 Stooges renovation of the West 3rd Street bridge over the Cuyahoga in Cleveland, Ohio. [6]
