Recently, I caught a rebroadcast of a PBS documentary entitled: The Judge and the General.

Speaking on conditions of anonymity, an ex-DEA agent recently disclosed that the CIA did an aerial spray in California back in the fifties as part of a behavior modification experiment.  The ex-DEA agent, former County Sheriff and one time California  “super-cop” stated that the end  result of the chemical exposure was a breakdown in normal h

The image above shows cephalanthus occidentalis (button bush) at the end of it's flowing period.  Bumble bees are still in attendance.

Most of the seeds have left the center flower, leaving a very neat green ball.

Is there an advantage/disadvantage of this flower geometry over other flower shapes?

To really understand 20th century American and the
trajectory of the US is still on, you need to understand
the Kennedy assassination.

Until the House Select Committee on Assassinations
concluded that Kennedy was killed by "some sort"
of conspiracy, Lee Harvey Oswald was loudly declared
to be the "lone assassin" in the murder of JFK.

Today was a good day to move the machines out onto the front porch, give  my granddaughter (who just turned 8) a big bag of scrap material and enjoy watching her learning to piece her first strip (crazy) quilt.

When we packed up around 4:30, she looked over and said, "Grandma, didn't we have a great day."

We're starting a "Summer 2011" scrapbook to include all the different things she's learning to do while school's out.  We started this project with giving her some cake icing and letting her decorate a cake.

*Do you wish the Cleveland Muni Clerk of Court would treat you like a client, a customer?

*Would you like to be helped promptly, without taking an entire day off work just to wait in long lines at the Cleveland Municipal Clerk of Court?

*Could the Cleveland Muni Clerk of Courts be more knowledgable and helpful?

I’ve so far given away over 30 bouquets of roses, starting with old garden rose bouquets to TWDC’s Chris Garland, ODOT’s Craig Hebegrand and to Director Ron Brown of Cleveland Planning in gratitude for his help. At the recent ODOT update and Q&A at Sokolowski’s, Safety Director Marty Flask sat beside me and said he’d heard about the bouquet for Director Brown, it was mentioned at a meeting, adding that City Hall is a small place.

Police in Canton and Louisville said multiple people have called the departments in recent days saying they've spotted a mountain lion roaming in a rural part of Stark County.

Lots to think about on this subject matter!

Seems like Cleveland would be the place to start recycling glass and improving our quality of life with such resources...

My mini wire-haired dachshunds and my roses are my great joys. So I can safely work in the garden, there are conduit pipes and fence posts stuck here and  there with wire cable connecting them for me to grab onto if I start to fall. You can see this at the right of the picture below.
