Journalism or Propaganda ??? Your $$$Submitted by lmcshane on Wed, 10/03/2012 - 17:33.
In a rare show of common sense, the Plain Dealer actually heeded the comments posted to a story: http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2012/09/clevelands_glut_of_vaca... When this came out--I felt the usual nausea: the Plain Dealer printing propaganda to support the Land Bank, though the numbers were so obviously bogus. I have been banned at the PD, so I rarely comment anymore. I chocked it up to the same old...

Year of Local FoodSubmitted by lmcshane on Tue, 06/12/2012 - 03:11.
It's beautiful and blue and inviting, but I am afraid of it. Do I really want to eat fish out of Lake Erie? (The answer is NO). At the same time, I am definitely fooling myself, if I think that the fish or other food sold to me at the West Side market or even by a higher end purveyor has any better provenance.

Vacant YMCA in Brooklyn CentreSubmitted by lmcshane on Thu, 01/05/2012 - 10:19.
The Brooklyn YMCA was sold a few years back to a non-profit congregation--it has been stripped and has languished. Now, a sign indicates a new program in 2012. http://www.rezthreadscleveland.com/Rez_Threads_Cleveland/Welcome.html For REAL? Or, is this just about devaluing property to zero? http://www.rezthreadscleveland.com/Rez_Threads_Cleveland/Team.html ( categories: )

Expansion of LJ MinorSubmitted by lmcshane on Sun, 07/31/2011 - 15:33.
LJ Minor is a division of Nestle. It's a significant employer and provides a tax base in Cleveland. LJ Minor is on the West 25th/Pearl Corridor slated for significant investment. LJ Minor has announced their intention to expand in two phases. This is a good thing, but it might also undermine the residents in this area as the company has already contacted several property owners about the acquisition of their property. REALNEO will keep an eye on this developing

Dates of upcoming O.D.O.T. Question & Answer meetingsSubmitted by Oldroser on Tue, 07/19/2011 - 01:57.
Since I had only one day notice of the meeting, I complained and found that other people had had earlier notices and Sammy Catania had provided Henry Senyak with a list of dates. I suggested they be put in the newsletter. Well, the date it has to go to the printer doesn't allow for that. Well, print the whole list! Fortunately, the helpful Public Information Officer sent me the list, and here it is! I hope in the future to not be the only one raising questions/from the board.
