A group of local Northeast Ohio artists, these men and women thrived during a period from 1910-1960 and was renowned for watercolor painting, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics. It was so named in 1928 by Elrick Davis, a journalist with the Cleveland Press. Artists of the Cleveland School were involved with the founding of the Cleveland School of Art (now Cleveland Institute of Art [2]), the Cleveland Museum of Art [3], Cleveland Society of Arts, Kokoon Arts Club [4], and the annual May Show. Artists in this auction include William Sommer, Henry G. Keller, George G. Adomeit, Alexander Warshawsky, Sandor Vago, William C.
