The Consortium of African American Organizations (CAAO) will be partnering with the Grand Prix of Cleveland presented by U.S. Bank to help celebrate the event’s 25th Anniversary. Under new ownership, many new exciting activities have been added. “CAAO is celebrating its 5th Anniversary this year”, states Connie Atkins, Executive Director of CAAO. “We are looking forward to working with the Grand Prix of Cleveland this year and for years to come.”
CAAO will have a Family and Friends Day at the Grand Prix of Cleveland on Sunday, June 25, 2006. “This year will bring a whole new atmosphere to the race…a Fun Family Festival!” said the Grand Prix’s Kathy Burrows. “We are excited to have something that will appeal to every age group, including small kids, teens and adults. From Star Wars Characters to inflatables to kids’ rides to the Red Bull Extreme Game demonstrations to unbelievable racing, we will have something for everyone. We invite all CAAO members, families and friends to come down to experience one of the largest world-class events that Cleveland has to offer.”
Burrows continued, “This year we are celebrating our 25th anniversary in Cleveland. We look proudly at our history, but eagerly look to the future as we incorporate the many threads of Cleveland’s cultures to share and be a part of this great event.
