Certainly one topic of discussion when Christo and Jeanne-Claude are in Cleveland will be their project to cover the Arkansas River in Colorado - now having them do something like this - spanning from the Lorain/Carnegie to the I-90, highlighting the size of that zone prime for development.

SANDBLASTER'S SHROUD = FORMFOLLOWINGFUNCTION

 In my opinion, the Main Avenue Bridge’s wind tight  sandblaster’s/painter’s canvas shroud is more sublime than Christo’ proposed Arky artifice.    For me,  part of beauty is pragmatism.  Look at an eight cylinder crank shaft.  Practical and beautiful.   The sandblaster’s envelope is temporal, but practical - an adjunct to the dirty work of maintaining our infrastructure.  Christo scores zero in that department.
