Fifth Annual E4S Food Meeting & Celebrating the 50th E4S Third Tuesday Network Event!

  • Discover new ways to bring local sustainably produced foods to your employees and customers.
  • Explore how your business can support local farming.
  • Build a new industry in Northeast Ohio that will create new businesses and jobs.
  • Rebuild our access to healthy foods that are not dependant on foreign oil.
Since the first E4S food focused meeting in 2002 we have attracted hundreds of leaders from the food industry, business, academia and government that are interested in moving local foods from farm to plate.  We have discovered three key barriers to growing the local food economy:
  1. Public awareness on why local food matters,
  2. Recreating local distribution channels and
  3. Having enough farmers to serve the demand
At our 5th annual local food economy meeting we have chosen to explore one of these challenges in more depth, farming. A panel facilitated by Grant Marquit, E4S board member will discuss such questions such as: why do we need more entrepreneurial farms, how can we best support these farmers and where will we find new farmers?
