A BETTER U$E FOR BURKE LAKEFRONT AIRPORT IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

Cleveland desperately needs to differentiate itself from Detroit.

Sure, Cleveland fooled around for the last 10 years with the too-complex-for-Cleveland idea of wind turbines "about 3 miles off of shore".   Ronn Richard and Mr. Stuebi led us down that dumb path.   Huge waste of everyone's time and energy.

So, instead increasing its bonded indebtedness by  tearing down City owned parking structures and buying overpriced private parking lots near Hopkins, Cleveland could close Burke and install a giant solar farm - putting power right into the CPP grid.

This is an idea simple enough for even Cleveland to implement.

But don't fret.

It won't happen.

Not enough opportunity for graft.

Won't lead to more fire or police personell on the City payroll.

Won't poison/pollute/displace any low income or minority inner city folks - like Toby's "Opportunity Corridor".

Land isn't owned by Forest City or Jacobs, etc.

Won't benefit any established special interests in Cle.

Doesn't get any developer a TIF.

Isn't an un-tried, un-proven crack pot idea like a "Gasifaction Incinerator"

etc,

etc.
