Blue Dog Oval Office: Has Obama switched parties?

Max Eternity - While many on the political Left seem to be dumbstruck, in a collective coma over Obama's complete embrace of "The Bush Doctrine", Neocon Republicans are  apparently quite pleased.   GOP operative Karl Rove, colloquially known as "Bush's Brain" has given Obama high marks for his 30,000 troop escalation in Afghanistan .  And now Newt Gingrich, the man who was the arch-enemy of Progressives during the Clinton Administration, is singing Obama's praises as well.

It is a situation that may very well turn out to be one of the most perverse collusions of imperialistic aggression and political force never before experienced in American history.

So, with Obama having recently been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and with his behavior in office seeming very much like that of a Manchurian Candidate, can he be a "War President" and Progressive peace maker at the same time.

Is it time for the Left to look for new leadership--so soon?

And while romancing the Left with pipe dreams of every sort, by backsliding in his first presidential year on almost all of his campaign promises, does he still deserve the benefit of doubt?

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is praising President Barack Obama for showing political courage on Afghanistan.

The Georgia Republican said Wednesday that Obama's plan to send 30,000 extra troops to Afghanistan is the right step, and that Tuesday's speech at West Point showed the president was facing reality.

"If you are a liberal Democrat who won the nomination with the support of the anti-war left, this had to be one of the most difficult decisions he'll ever make," Gingrich said. "And he did what he felt was right for the country.  Read more.
