Join volunteers with the Lance Armstrong Foundation to focus attention on heath, medical research and saving lives and “Ride to Work” with the Lance Armstrong Foundation on Wednesday May 17th.  Be a part of nationwide activities right here in Northeast Ohio, raising the issue of medical research and therapies and talking about solutions for people with extraordinary challenges.

Cyclists will be able to meet up with experienced ride leaders, volunteers with the nonprofit ClevelandBikes, at the following locations for a safe, fun ride downtown.  People can expect to be downtown on Mall B for the activities by 8:30 am.  Showers for participants are available courtesy of the Greater Cleveland YMCA (Prospect Avenue).

For the first time since the '30s, cancer deaths are declining and survival rates, for adults and children, are growing - 64% of adults and 78% of children diagnosed today will still be with us five years from now. Yet last year, for the first time in a decade, Congress cut research funding at the National Institutes of Health. Ride with the Lance Armstrong Foundation and support the more than 10 million Americans currently living with cancer and the more than 1.3 million Americans who will be diagnosed this year.

ClevelandBikes kicks off its summer ride to work schedule on Friday May 19th with regular rides on the last Friday of the month. For more information about ClevelandBikes and Bike to Work, visit their website (ww.clevelandbikes.org).
