"Cuyahoga County executive hopefuls reveal their campaign platforms"

Dianna Lynn Hill refers to herself as "Angel in Ward 14." She served in the Army Reserves for nine years and considers herself a community advocate. As "a different breed of candidate," Hill has a few unique ideas for Cuyahoga County if she were to be elected to the executive position.
Hill says she will bring "military-type leadership" to the county. This would involve a process with the acronym LEADERSHIP: "loyalty, equality, accountability, duty, ethics, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage for upholding democracy by and for the people." Hill also vows to create a family-first government by restoring public trust in the county and its services.
Hill says she would encourage small business investors and global businesses to plunk down their money in Cuyahoga County. That includes Disney World, which she says could benefit from the Ohio Film Tax Incentive. "The Disney concept," Hill recently blogged, could "create commerce, jobs and spur tourism if done on a grand scale." Hill also says that entrepreneurs who want to bring franchises to the county "should be excited and welcomed with open arms." Area citizens should also be encouraged to start businesses that will spur the local economy, she notes.
Hill believes that the new county government will encourage collaboration. She says she will work to unite local governments in the sharing of information, resources and ideas.
