A beautiful sound in the neighborhood this morning. You could almost feel the quiet. Even a couple of Harley riders out for a Sunday drive didn't seem to rumble the 'hood.
It's amazing how much difference there is in the way the church goers close their car doors than the rowdy patrons coming to the bar scene.
Around 10:00 A.M. this morning the pealing of church bells rang out from the bell tower of St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Church on College Avenue. Shortly thereafter, what looked like a hundred birds or more were congregated in a couple of Red Bud trees on our front tree lawn. They seem to be harmoniously and cheerfully chirping in unison.
About an hour later I heard the St. John Cantius Bells on Professor Avenue tolling.
It's almost spell binding after all the ruck and ruckas that has gone on in this neighborhood for the past three or four days, especially last night.
Although the blossoms are mostly faded now, the photo is of a Dogwood in our front yard.
Tranquility
It is a wonderous thing to be cherished--thanks for the dogwood, Jerleen :)
