NON-COMPLIANT - LAW-BREAKING TREMONT RESTAURANTS SUPPORT ELDERLY, HANDICAPPED ATTACKER SAMMY CATANIA

Submitted by jerleen1 on July 13, 2010 - 2:45pm.

Non-compliant restaurants in Tremont get behind Sammy Catania after his violent, threatening and verbal outburst against a Senior handicapped life long resident of Tremont.

Are the puzzle pieces now fitting together?  Perhaps and, perhaps there is still a missing piece.  I don't believe that Councilman Cimperman has made any statement declaring his position to the Tremont community at large ?  How will this attack effect the elderly, handicapped, low-income and long-time minorities at the election poles?

OSS_JULY_FLYER_2010_page0.jpg

Father Lucian is again being gracious enough to permit the OSS the privilege of meeting in the St. John Cantius meeting room.

As the flyer indicates, we will be addressing the issues/concerns of blocking public right-of-ways in our community.  The lack of handicap parking/signage.

This matter is open for discussion to everyone since it affects the safe passage not only to those with disabilities but to anyone pushing strollers, carts, on crutches or may have difficulty with their gait, especially the elderly.

LIBRARY_-_SCRANTON_CASTLE_010.JPG

For more than a year citizens residing at the Scranton Castle CMHA Complex have complained to CMHA representatives and building management about the on-going infestitation of cockroaches and bed bugs.

One resident stated that her daughter had to receive medical treatment and medication for the bug bites.  Another stated that no one was taking the situation seriously.  That administration and management left each day at 5 O'clock whereas paying tenants had to suffer through the all night bitting ordeals.

Remember all the fuss made over tremontsoul's property being unkept, unmaintained and unmowed - where's TWDC's camera man now.

Are these up-scale, high-end greens, new age art or..........maybe they're just weeds?

Anybody fording through in their knee britches might just come out with some chiggers.

The Melodious Sound of Pealing Church Bells and a Congregation of Singing Birds

dog_wood_001.JPG

A beautiful sound in the neighborhood this morning.  You could almost feel the quiet.  Even a couple of Harley riders out for a Sunday drive didn't seem to rumble the 'hood.

It's amazing how much difference there is in the way the church goers close their car doors than the rowdy patrons coming to the bar scene.

Again, a picture can explain more than words.  These businesses clearly create some of their own problems by not utilizing the sites for the intended and required purposes.  Funny thing is that when you submit evidence to the Board of Zoning Appeals, it is under oath.

This photo depicts the first and second patio as well as evidencing the curb was cut to accomodate the off street parking of vehicles.  There is a petition and entrance way from the small 32 seat patio into the larger non-conforming patio.

What must be remembered is that there are several bars/restaurants/nightclubs that guilty of the exact same thing - after the ratified resolutions are handed down by BOZA granting the parking variances, business owners construct illegally permitted patios in the designated required parking sites.

VALET ZONES IN TREMONT CAUSE POSSIBLE DELAYS FOR EMERGENCY CREWS

Submitted by jerleen1 on February 16, 2010 - 12:38pm.
Henry and Others,

While there have been a number of suggestions and ideas tossed out on how and by what committee the parking/valet problems should be handled, no doubt the traffic congestion created by too many Valet Zones  obstructing the intersections and blocking the driving lanes in Tremont is creating a serious safety problem.

As far as the complaining goes, I dare say that the need for a fire truck or an ambulance be
