NRA & 2nd Amendment - Guns are Obsolete Technology

While the NRA pounds our national and state legislators with the insistence that GUNS are the safe, secure path to freedom (say it like Sarah! FRRREEEEEEDUUUUUM!), the fellows in the image above have their sights set on communication.
What is more important for our constitutional guarantees - access to uncompromised guns or access to uncompromised communication?
In Egypt cell phones and internet were cut.

If the goverment or technical issues terminated your ability to communicate on the web or otherwise - do you have any alternatives up your sleeve or in your basement? Hand crank short wave? (Guy might)

Why is the country all up about size of your magazine...size of your clip....
Or up about gay marriage...or about the heartbeat or sperm wiggle bill?
YOU HAVE NO ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE IF THE PLUG IS PULLED! DO YOU?
