as i - we cry tears of saddnes and joy - david was-is a great inspiriation to all that seek to help others - as david touched my life when i met him in cleveland, ohio when he and others opened 'teen challenge" on about 40th and lorain ave.in the 1960's - as teen challenge was a national ministry saving untold numbers of drug addicted youth etc.as you read about david and nicky cruz and "the cross and the switchblade" the 50 million book best seller world wide - and movie - as david went to new york city in 1958 and started to help gang members and save their souls from pain and suffering - i can't put into words about davids special gift to heal the sick and dying and suffering - i can only say that i was one of the saved as i went on to help others -
