Relax, Trump is stone cold sane

Let me issue the standard disclaimer of psychiatrists who discuss the mental health of public figures: I have not personally examined President Trump.

Now, let me put to rest the concerns of Sen. Al Franken and political commentators John Oliver and Andrew Sullivan and anyone else who publicly or privately has questioned the president’s sanity:

Donald Trump is stone cold sane.

When a man acquires billions of dollars through complex real estate transactions, invests in many countries, goes on to phenomenal success in television and turns his name into a worldwide brand, it is very unlikely that he is mentally unstable.

When the same man obviously enjoys the love and respect of his children and his wife, who seem to rely on him for support and guidance, it is extraordinarily unlikely that he is mentally unstable.

When the same man walks into the political arena and deftly defeats 16 Republican opponents and then the Democratic heir-apparent to a two-term president’s administration, the odds of that man being mentally unstable become vanishingly thin.

And when that very same man attracts to his team the kind of intellect and gravitas represented (to name just a few) by Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense James Mattis, a retired Marine Corps general and commander of the U.S. Central Command, he cannot be mentally deranged. Period. It is a statistical impossibility.

Those who assert otherwise are political opportunists, or fools, or both (and I am thinking here, in particular, of Sen. Franken).

President Trump is the first human being to win this nation’s highest office without having held any other political office or serving as a general. Most political pundits thought his quest was pure folly. Most journalists assessed his chances as zero. So who was laboring under quasi-delusional thinking? Answer: Not Donald J. Trump.

Anecdotally, by the way, I have never had one bad Trump experience. Not one. I own several of his ties — all of them of the highest quality. I have stayed in his hotels and never had a single complaint (and I am a born complainer). I have eaten in his New York restaurant — flawless service, excellent food. I own an apartment at Trump Place in Manhattan. Impeccable design, sturdy construction, fabulous amenities. A mentally unstable man would be unlikely to deliver superior products across multiple industries, don’t you think?

If you’re still worried about the mental stability of the president, note this: The stock market doesn’t like instability. Investors, en masse, can take the measure of a man pretty darn well. The stock market has hit record high after record high since Trump’s election, and if you think that’s an accident, or that investors have all been fooled, it’s time to start wondering about your own capacity for rational thought.

I should note that nothing I am saying should besmirch the reputations of men like President Abraham Lincoln or Sir Winston Churchill, both of whom are said to have fought the ravages of major depression or bipolar disorder. One was instrumental in ridding America of slavery. The other was instrumental in saving the world from tyranny. Mahatma Gandhi, by the way, also reportedly suffered from depression. Psychiatric illness does not, a priori, disqualify a person from rendering extraordinary service to mankind.

Mind you, neither Lincoln nor Churchill nor Gandhi led a nation after becoming a business sensation and television star. That trifecta defines one man: President Donald J. Trump.

Now, think about those who are rabble-rousing about the president’s mental status. Take Sen. Al Franken. He’s all worried about the president allegedly overestimating the crowd size at his inauguration. But Franken is allied with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who asserted she is Native American, when there is no evidence of that whatsoever.

And they’re calling Trump’s sanity into question? Really, you can’t make this stuff up.

Charlatan POTUS?

What about his tax returns. What about his three marriages. What about his facial expression's. What about the pleasure he takes in other people's inconvenience - think of the executive order regarding immigration - people flown back to where they boarded. What about his focus on how many people were on the  Washington mall on inauguration day.

Stonecoal Shane? Clean coal?

I'm not buying the sane routine.

Narcissistic - POTUS disorder?

The New York Times has a report here relevant to POTUS'S  mental state.   Not Narcissistic "disorder" according to psychiatric professional.

God Bless the USA

The elusion of mental illness seems to have been exacerbated by the Wag the Dog Syndrome....and it is such a tragedy globally.

Leadership from local to global has a history of living far outside of it's budget... a rollercoaster ride for taxpayers. They have a documented history of negligence with billions in settlements to those that they have violated. They exhibit egos full of the "God" complex where they act above the law. They disenfranchise their bases by defrauding the public and redirecting the attention from themselves with abusive practices (in violation of the laws). They forget about the little people---and use them as quotas to every divisive fiscal requirement under the sun... recklessly in many cases. They perpetuate unsustainable, failed programs to continue sustaining corruption by the historical leadership by a network of philanthropic government funded organizations. They build upside down pyramids all over our nation and yet we are all expected to respect their choices.

America is evolving. True colors have been revealed by too many to count. The reality is that "The greater good of all..." has seemed to be gone with the wind; while the backroom deal folks have all moved onto Cloud 9 trying to figure out why the rest of America is so fed up and made a choice to support the alternative, non politician person.

Our nation supports terrorism by the minute... every time I hear of an opiate death-I am reminded of how the Afghan crop is booming.

The basic tenets of boundaries, accountability, and commitment are seemingly eroding away from all ways of life.... I could write for days on the lists of things that sincerely violate Americans... but one of the most divisive is disintegrating the word, "UNITED" from our base to drive the plow through our nation destroying every good principle that unites us as ONE NATION......instead; we are fear mongered to death; we are misinformed; and we are violated chronically. The facade of being in a leadership position for the benefit of the people has been trampled on far too long.

I had a leader in the Army that I think of every single time I reflect on this new world order.... They led by example; they followed the rules and regulations; and they held their organization accountable. They didn't flinch, bend the rules, or violate the world and they expected such from their subordinates. People seem to have no regard for authority, leadership, laws, or anything relevant anymore. Everywhere you look; it's a big thriving governmental business...chasing rule breakers.... everywhere you go... someone is breaking the rules---and mostly for SELF GRATIFICATION.... and it keeps everything above that---in business... sad, sad, sad.

The only bottom line to everything is that...... "IT IS ALL A MATTER OF OPINION!" and that it's "INESCAPABLE"...........

The dreams of living in a world where you can feel safe, to build a life, and to live happily ever after are a pure joke... because every lane is simply corrupt... So unless you are a deviant corrupt mother flower; life is simply turmoil--because having values, character, and integrity seem to be unknowns to the leadership in this day and age.

Speak up, get swatted down. Speak the truth, your life is at risk. Complain; get retaliated against. Do the right thing; eat crap.

After seeing the poverty of America; seeing the abusive practices up close and personal; and seeing the social unjustices chronically purported upon the public at large; I cannot support things that don't put our people first.

I don't give a flower who you are.... if you are a selfish, corrupt, violator of the good of all; then you are only part of the problem. Americans deserve better than the state of mind that the government is above them... and as it stands; too many have become complacent; too many have switched sides; and too many have chosen self gratification above the best interests of the "people."

Some of the reflections that are divisively used to distract the public from ongoing corruption nationwide is comical. If all that attention was magnified on every single corrupt action by a politician; holding them accountable to their choices; then our nation would be able to mitigate the madness created by the media much more fluidly. As the WAG THE DOG syndrome continues; so does the infinite; ongoing; and perpetual corruption that is destroying America.

God Bless the media for participating in the Wag the Dog games that violate America more than the politicians.

When refugees get homes, welfare benefits, and medical insurance before veterans and homeless American citizens; I am left in complete disenfranchisement. Weighing the facts has become disillusioning.

God Bless the USA!
