Memorial celebration for Ed Hauser at Whiskey Island, November 14, 2009 image jeff buster

So, for once, I was aware, and consequently have over 1,000  images taken when I was in Ed's company, and after he passed.

The fire image is of his family's memorial celebration at Whiskey Island in 2009 - a year after Ed's death.

The image below was taken at his memorial service celebration, also at Whiskey Island.

A cup-of-Ed...

What made Ed Hauser a man who demanded attention was his thoroughness.  Ed spent lots of money on copies of public records.  His basement was filled with boxes of records which provided the detailed support for his multiplicitious public interest actions.

we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,

this is appropriate for occasions other than New Year's Eve.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

and never brought to mind ?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

and auld lang syne* ?

CHORUS:

For auld lang syne, my jo,

for auld lang syne,

we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,

for auld lang syne.

Ed's Memory - 2 Years

Just wanted everyone to know that we (Ed's family and friends) were out at Whiskey Island yesterday in memory of Ed.  Had a fire on the beach, grilling a few hot dogs and toasting the memory of Ed and all that he did so that we could enjoy Whiskey Island.  Except for the wind, it was a wonderful evening and a beautiful sunset.  Really felt as though Ed was with us and telling us to enjoy the gift he gave to Cleveland.

Forever in our hearts...

I was thinking of you
