Hawk, this photo of the inside of the Beehive School I went back and took for you. And in looking down the frozen hallway with the decaying paint and the broken windows against the west, my thoughts flashed to the many other interiors I'd seen like this in Cleveland.
Why?
Roldo has patiently inventoried dozens and dozens of money losing tax funded “investments” which have been made in Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. These “investments” require bond payments for the next 10, 20, and 30 years.
If, as I believe, Clevehoga has put all its vital tax revenues into money losing holes, black holes, private profit public theft holes, then WHEN will Clevehoga be able to see the light of a new day?
Not tomorrow, Not next week. Not when Ed Morrison and all his REI disciples (me included) get more creative.
How can we march through the decay and clutter of Clevehoga and reach the light? When all our tax investments are smothering us. And will continue to do so for 30 long years?
That’s my question.
Criminal
The whole school building program is a heartbreakingly immoral crime.
BTW, what has happened to the investigation of the CMSD's financial officer? Why is the PD protecting Sanders?
beehive
What a shame this was a really cool school,it had basement classrooms and a fallout shelter
Sad
This pic and the previous one are so sad.
And so messed up...
My house slatted for demolition is nowhere near as bad... nowhere near...
and totally fixable in a years time.
You'd think they'd want that so the extra taxes from my home can fuel the kitty to be squandered on messes like the one above...
