'YIELD" "round about" - guy's oct. 7, 2006 post - GOOD MORNING TREMONT" ANTI-CRIME UPDATE - MIKE SCHWEIGER, "YIELD" WALMARTSubmitted by Quest-News-Serv... on Wed, 08/19/2009 - 03:06.
one of my sources said -
mike schweiger, is living at 3201 west 14th st., apt. 13 - which is where alot of drug addicted are relocated -
which is the last apt. building going south by the "dodge them cars yield right away" and the ones that don't crash each other can go on to civilization driving -
and this was all done to get the cars down to walmarts as fast as possible - you know if you get to the yield a foot or so before the other driver you don't have to yield - i have experienced other drivers cheat - they keep driving and don't yield although you or me was first to the yield -
it reminds me of the "eucild beach" dodge cars, where you paid your money to drive electric run golf carts with rubber bumpers and we would enjoy cashing into the other cars at about 5 or 10 miles an hour and we would get run into also - no body "yield" the right of way to about 10 cars - just imagine when when an imbalance happens - as we know these days there are many things that can cause an imbalance - there could be a many cars non-dodge cars crash at our famous "yield" intersection" in tremont -
there probably isn't another such "yield " intersection in the usa or the world -
this shows how much power and money"walmart" has -
one thing though doesn't our own "yield" intersection show that the genious(s) that thought of "yield" trust us not to have to stop at a stop signs or maybe not -
as walmart with wonderful mayor campell, double crossed wonderful city council, great joe cimperman, d-13, unions, and others which are aganist walmart not having to help our community which as you recall walmart couldn't build in tremont unless they signed a contract agreeing to a number of issues to protect our neighborhood -
well i'm not saying anyone got bribed by walmart to build in tremont without helping us -
i'm saying someone must have been bribed to construct our "yield" intersection which will run down at the now no road sign to walmart -
because do you really think our wonderful city of cleveland of state enginers could have thought of the "yield" no! they would have put stop signs to protect us from each other like goverment should do -
now we have corporate genious that steers us to walmart without stopping and gives us a sense of trusting our driving without protecting us -
mike schweiger, (if he doesn't change) will have a wonderful time at the "yield" when walmart opens - he will have a lot of opportunities to be a preditor -
i wonder if he's working for walmart?-
or maybe our wonderful social service and the power folks aganist walmart, made a deal and got mike the money to rent and got em the apt., so close to walmart that mike will single handly be such a good preditor that he will compromise walmart into closing -
see you at walmart if i'm possesed by the "yield"
SO WHOS THE 'REAL" PREDITOR -CRIMINAL? - MIKE OR WALMART
eternal thanks,
yogi, sophia, guy

Cost of the great Tremont Yield Circle and surrounding concrete
I recall there was a big stop sign there before, and it worked fine. It would be interesting to see traffic and accident data for this intersection, which I assume is recorded and kept by law.
I am also interested in what this crcle cost citizens, along with all the other Steelyard Commons related road improvements - THEY redesigned our highways and exits to accommodate this lame little shopping strip, and that money came from somewhere, and could have been spent elsewhere... these are truly roads to nowhere!
Disrupt IT
we paid
it was part of the contract that the city would absorb all of the ingress/egress costs and the accompanying road construction.
A comment on that, the
A comment on that, the residents say that on slow traffice days, sometimes police cruisers get in the circle and at high speeds go round and round - probably to gain practice and knowledge of how to maneuver the circle and get through in a hurry.
Also, many accident are not reported. If there are no injuries, the motorists will just exchange information and continue on.
One of the crashes I witnessed was a pickup truck in the inside lane and a small car on the ourside land - they were sort of along side each other. All of a sudden the pickup truck, attempting to make a right and go down West 14th Street, cut right in front of the little car - the driver (a white male) jumped out and started yelling at the driver of the little car (a black male). He was blasting the little car driver for, according to him, going the wrong way (continuing around the circle) and causing him to be involved in an accident. The black gentleman not knowing quite what to do, began trying to explain to the truck driver that his lane also went all the way around and that he the truck driver was in the wrong for cutting in front of him. The truck driver with his hands on his hips looked as befuddled as any confused person could look - he apparently did not know the area - because he turned several times looking around trying to figure out coming to the conclusion of just what he had done. Had this not been a situation where someone could have been seriously injured or killed, it would have been funny.
The did eventually exchange info and being that it was only the vehicles that suffered some broken lights and banged up a bit, they went on their way.
How does it work?
Can someone that is familiar with the circle explain to me how it works? I might find myself needing to use it someday and I sure would like to know how to drive it. I tried it once or twice and found myself lacking in knowledge to navigate it safely. I avoid it now and take Clark over to Quigley to get to the Steelyard Commons.
circle
Either close your eyes or use clark unless you are really brave. It is more than learning how to use it. The other drivers need to know how to use it, and when to yield.
The yield changes every few feet, and I never drive it if I am tired, and never in the dark. I stay in the inner circle and go slow. Can you practice
with someone who is familiar with it during a time when there is not a lot traffic? I can try to help you if you'd like, but, like you, I use clark a lot.
Thank you for your helpful
Thank you for your helpful advice. You are right, it is probably best for me to just use Clark, at least until something is done to make the circle easier and safer to navigate.
the damned circle
I drove the circle at 6:15 PM from 14th to steelyards. I yielded until it was my turn then proceeded in the inner circle but the folks coming off 176 did not yield as there were supposed to and I was almost nailed twice. I took clark back. We need to find the less than brillant engineers for this circle and make them drive it in a small car.
police in the circle
I just read Jerleens' post about the police using the circle at high speed to practice so I will just not use it at all. Talk about sitting ducks.
No light, some intelligence
Folks--roundabouts have been around in Europe for a long, long time and are statisfically safer than traditional intersections.
Can we just use some common sense and think about our behavior for once? Or, do Americans find it impossible to yield to someone else?
no lights
I think you nailed it Laura, the folks not yielding just getting off a freeway. Probably when they got ON the freeway, they blared passed the yield sign that is present at all on lanes when a merge has to happen. It is a reflection of where we are as a people.
DW
I guess if you grew up with it you would understand
how the roundabouts are navigated. But, most of us did not grow up with roundabouts, and from what I am reading and hearing in conversation there are a lot of people who don't know how to use them that drive on them. That is just an accident waiting to happen, as it is said.
other roundabouts
other roundabouts are usually much larger. They have these all over england, vut with a larger roundabout you have much more room to navigate, and avoid collision.
