CLEVELAND, OH—The Honorable Jane Campbell, mayor
of the City of Cleveland, will give her annual State of the
City address at noon on Friday, February 18,
2005,to The City Club of Cleveland. The Friday Forum will be held at the Sheraton City Centre,
777 St. Clair
Avenue,
Cleveland.
Mayor Campbell’s political career
began in the Ohio House of Representatives, where she served six terms. She was
then elected Cuyahoga County Commissioner, and in 2000, to
Cleveland’s top job. She will seek her second
term as mayor of Cleveland during the 2005
elections.
Mayor Campbell was named a “Crain’s
Cleveland Business� Business Woman of Influence, one of the 100 Most Influential
Women in Cleveland by “Cleveland Magazine,� and a Woman to Watch in the ‘90s by
“Ms. Magazine.�
“This year’s speech is sure to be of
great interest to the public, especially since it’s an election year and the
Mayor Campbell is in the forefront of several hot-button issues like casinos and
a new convention center,� said Jim Foster, executive
director of The City Club of Cleveland. “We
are very pleased once again to host the Mayor for her annual address to
Cleveland.�
