Presented by the Sierra Club Ohio Chapter

In partnership with the Ohio Environmental Council

It is time to demonstrate to the Ohio General Assembly that Ohioans care about advancing passenger rail development. We will be educating legislators on a diversity of transit initiatives, most importantly the Ohio Hub Project, which will greatly enhance Ohio’s economic and environmental sustainability. The Ohio Hub Project proposes the construction of rail lines connecting Ohio’s urban areas with each other and to national rail networks.  The first phase of this several-phase process would connect Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, and Cleveland.  The second phase would incorporate Toledo into the system.

If you can't participate, it's not too late to write or call. The basic message to your state legislators is:

Please support ODOT’s request for an authorization to pursue funding for
start-up of modern passenger rail service in the 3-C Corridor, which will
set the table for expanded service statewide. Ohio desperately needs options
to its drive-only transportation system to promote new jobs, greater
mobility, community development, environmental improvement and energy
efficiency. Ohio cannot afford to miss this opportunity!
