Create positive change in your workplace and community.

Studies show that race relations substantially influence organizational culture. While many corporate diversity programs promote cultural awareness and diverse recruitment policies, real change starts with the people who make up a company’s culture – you.

The YWCA Racial Inclusion Initiative invites you to participate in a dynamic process of individual reflection, thoughtful discussion, strategy development and action planning to make your workplace an environment in which everyone feels included, regardless of race.

In this one-day training, people of different races will develop strategies to challenge racism both at home and in the workplace. Through readings, videos, group discussion and structured exercises, you will explore:
  • The historical roots of racism in the U.S.
  • Individual racism & institutional racism
  • White privilege in the workplace
  • Interrupting racism on a day-to-day basis
  • Strategies for institutional change
