Bike to Work Friday with ClevelandBikes -Take An Individual Stand (or Seat) Against High GasPrices

Submitted by Kevin Cronin on Wed, 07/26/2006 - 18:40.

Consider your bicycle to be your own personal political protest and take a stand (or actually a seat) against high gas prices! Join nonprofit ClevelandBikes with its summer “Bike to Work” rides, commuting downtown on Friday July 28th, as well as the final Friday morning of every month. Ride to protest high gas prices, ride for health or just because it's a safe, easy and effective way to commute to work.  We'll even provide the bagels and coffee.

The Bike To Work Schedule: Join ClevelandBikes on the final Friday of every month, from June to September, with our “Bike to Work” Rides. Pick a starting location from the list below and ride along with a ClevelandBikes ride leader, or just meet us between 8:00 and 9:00 AM at our downtown host, A.J. Rocco's Espresso Bar, located near the corner of Prospect Avenue and Huron Road. They'll be providing free coffee and bagels. Also, free showers will be available at Downtown YMCA (Prospect Avenue and East 22nd Street) and Results Gym at Tower City.
