Spanglish
Doble su placer! Learn some Spanish, spice up your world and learn to laugh at life. Yesterday, in the Brooklyn Centre neighborhood, we had patron representation from Nicaragua, Peru, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. Besides hearing mucho Spanglish yesterday, I got to hear a sprinkling of Arabic and Ukrainian spoken in the library.
Junot Diaz's wonderful book shows us that el mundo can be much more fun with algunas palabras del Español!
Delicioso
Junot Diaz was funny and irreverant today, but too crass in his lengua for me. He is definitely un hombre who lives in his cabeza. So, when I came back to the fuego I wanted some comodidad and found refuge in this wonderful cookbook. Europeans aren't all evil. Ingrid is a chica, but she has some of the old world in her and I can relate to her visión mundial. Life can be la buena vida.
(BTW--R. Nagin your Brooklyn Centre hija spoke today. Muy interesante)
