St. Paddy's Day is When St. Baldrick's Marches Into AJ Rocco's... 2009

Every St. Patrick's Day (2009 Parade Photos here), the St. Baldrick's Foundation promotes a unique global event - for the past seven years, hosted in Cleveland by the one-and-only AJ Rocco's - where ordinary people shave their heads "in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!"

While I've never been inclined to shave my head, or even wear my hair short, I've spent enough time at AJ Rocco's, and know their owner and team well enough, I've participated in the event in 2006, and again this year (proof in photo above), out of solidarity for AJ Rocco's, as well as the worthy St. Baldrick's. It is rare you find a special place where all the pieces come together so well - good people on the inside and outside... good causes and commitment to goodness... and especially good cheer on St. Patrick's Day, when solidarity takes on a whole new meaning, and style...
