Dear Jerleen,
Please be advised on the following digest of police reports for the first half of September. This digest now includes the Ward 14 portion of Tremont, thus there are more incidents in this digest versus the August report. Please remember that this is a digest of reported criminal activity, and the summary is based on facts indicated in the police report. Also note: B&E = breaking & entering, Aggravated Robbery = robbery with a weapon and GTMV = grand theft motor vehicle.

Digest of Brevity Reports for the first half of September 2010

9/1/10: Criminal Damaging & Theft at Columbus & Abbey: A 31 year-old male returned to his parked car to find the passenger window broken and assorted medical tools missing.
9/1/10: Criminal Damaging & Theft on the 2100 block of W.10th: A 23 year-old male finds his mother's 2005 Saturn with the passenger window broken and the GPS missing at 9:15 am.
9/1/10: Theft on the 1200 block of Clark: A GPS is reported stolen out of a parked car at 11:30 pm.
9/1/10: GTMV Recovery at Clark Ave. & W.11th: A 2002 Dodge Caravan reported stolen out of Medina County is recovered after police spot the vehicle and the reported suspects who were disassembling the van. After a foot chase, police arrested two Brayton Road males and a W.97th Street male in connection with the theft.
9/3/10: GTMV at W.10th & Kenilworth: A 2001 Chevy Silverado is reported stolen off the street at 7:00 pm.
9/3/10: Criminal Damaging & Theft on the 2200 block of W.10th: The front passenger window of a parked car is found broken at 4:00 am with $1100 in cash reported missing.
9/4/10: Domestic Violence on the 3100 block of W.14th: Police arrest a 53 year-old male for striking his 37 year-old girlfriend with a closed fist at 7:00 pm.
9/4/10: Burglary on the 2400 block of Tremont Street: Police arrest a 30 year-old male at 6:00 pm for entering a 30 year-old female's residence without her permission by removing a window A/C unit.
9/4/10: Theft on the 2200 block of W.20th: A 27 year-old female reported that she left her cell phone on her porch and that when she returned the phone was missing.
9/5/10: GTMV on the 1100 block of Clark: A 1995 Honda Accord is reported stolen.
9/5/10: Domestic Violence on the 3100 block of W.14th: Police arrest a 48 year-old male at 2:00 am for spitting on his 47 year-old girlfriend and poking her in the face.
9/7/10: GTMV on the 3200 block of W.14th: A 1996 Honda Accord is reported stolen off the street at 10:00 am.
9/7/10: Criminal Damaging & Theft on the 2100 block of Freeman: A 2006 Toyota is found with the passenger window broken and an iPod and a cell phone charger missing at 9:37 pm.
9/8/10: Theft on the 3000 block of W.11th: A 59 year-old male reported that $800 in cash was stolen out of his home by an unknown female who was visiting his home with a known friend.
9/9/10: GTMV on the 3100 block of W.14th: A 1997 Honda Accord is reported stolen at 2:30 am and found at 6:30 am on the 3100 block of Holmden with the catalytic converter missing.
9/9/10: Theft on the 2500 block of W.14th: Police arrest a 17 year-old male for stealing bricks from a church.
9/9/10: Theft on the 2000 block of Castle: CMHA Police investigate a report at 9:30 am that a computer was stolen out of the building's computer room.
9/9/10: Criminal Damaging on the 2200 block of W.10th: The owner of a Chevy truck reported finding a window broken at 10:00 pm but with nothing missing.
9/9/10: Theft on the 2500 block of W.18th: The catalytic converter is reported stolen off of a 1997 Ford Ranger pick-up truck at 9:30 pm.
9/10/10: Theft on the 2300 block of W.14th: A W.14th Street male reported that his rear license plate was stolen off of his parked car.
9/10/10: Criminal Damaging & Theft on the W.13th PL and Abbey: The owner of a 2005 station wagon reported finding the car with a broken window and a few items missing at 7:27 pm.
9/10/10: Criminal Damaging on the 2500 block of W.7th: A witness observed two unknown males attempting to break into a 1994 Toyota Camry at 11:15 pm and the suspects fled the scene.
9/10/10: Criminal Damaging & Theft on the 2400 block of W.11th: The front passenger window of a parked car is found broken with the GPS missing at 3:00 pm.
9/10/10: Criminal Damaging & Theft on the 2300 block of Meyer: A 1997 Mazda is found with a broken window and the car's stereo system missing at 1:50 am.
9/10/10: Drug Offense at W.25th & Althen: Police arrest a 25 year-old homeless male at 12:15 am with a crack pipe in his possession.
9/10/10: Theft on the 3000 block of W.25th: The catalytic converter is reported to have been stolen off of a Dodge van at 1:05 am.
9/11/10: GTMV & GTMV Recovery at Tremont St. & Jefferson: Police arrest a 27 year-old male from the 2400 block of W.6th, a 22 year-old male from the 2200 block of W.33rd and a 32 year-old Russell Ave. male at 1:20 am for stealing a 1994 Olds Cutlass. The officers observed the suspicious activity and the suspects fled in a van and in the stolen vehicle. The driver of the Cutlass bailed and was apprehended on Jefferson. The driver of the van was apprehended on Fruit Ave. and the third male was apprehended on W.6th. The stolen Cutlass was returned to the owner with a broken window and peeled column.
9/11/10: GTMV on the 1800 block of Auburn: A 1998 Chevy pick-up truck is reported stolen.
9/12/10: Aggravated Robbery at Abbey and Columbus: Police assist a 45 year-old male who reported that while walking down the street at 11:45 pm two unknown males in a red truck approached him. One of the males got out of the truck and pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. The victim did not comply, so the gunman pistol whipped the victim and robbed him of $32 in cash.
9/12/10: Menacing on the 2300 block of W.7th: A 49 year-old female reported that she was threatened by a known 51 year-old Professor Ave. male after she attempted to intervene in an animal cruelty incident she observed.
9/12/10: Criminal Damaging on the 1700 block of Willey Ave: A 25 year-old male reported at 5:28 pm that an unknown male punched and damaged his car when he refused to give the panhandler money.
9/12/10: Assault at W.25th & Clark: Police assist a 20 year-old female who reported that she was punched by a known 18 year-old female at 1:00 pm.
9/13/10: Criminal Damaging & Theft at Fairfield & W.11th: The front passenger window of a 2009 station wagon is found broken with a GPS missing at 11:00 pm.
9/13/10: Assault on the 2500 block of W.18th PL: Police assist a 34 year-old male who reported that a known 40 year-old male neighbor started punching him when he asked the neighbor to move his car, as he was blocked in.
9/13/10: Burglary on the 2300 block of Prame Ave: A 40 year-old male reported that he returned to his home after being away for a few days to find that his back door had been forced open and a cordless drill and 3 bottles of prescription medicine reported missing.
9/14/10: Criminal Damaging & Theft on the 3100 block of Scranton: The front passenger window of a parked car is found broken with a GPS missing at 4:30 pm.
9/14/10: Burglary on the 1600 block of Auburn: A 53 year-old male reported that when he was at home the he heard someone attempting to enter his apartment at 10:45 pm. Responding officers observed evidence that there was an attempt to pry open his apartment door.
9/14/10: Criminal Damaging & Theft on the 1700 block of Castle: A Strongsville female reported finding her 2009 Nissan Altima with a broken driver's side window and her laptop computer missing while she was parked in the Luis Munoz parking lot at 4:00 pm. A Fairhill Rd. female also reported that her 2007 Chevy Blazer was found with a broken window in this same lot, but with nothing reported missing.
9/16/10: Felonious Assault/Stabbing on the 2300 block of W.14th: Police assist a 32 year-old female who reported that she was grabbed and stabbed in the arm by an unknown male while walking through Lincoln Park at 1:10 am.
