I hope you will join us at the first planning meeting of the East Cleveland Lead Coalition.  The meeting will be held Monday, February 11th from 4:00 - 5:00 at the North branch of the East Cleveland Library at 1425 Hayden Avenue.

CCOAL, Concerned Citizens Organized Against Lead, is facilitating the formation of a coalition to address the atrocious lead problem in East Cleveland.  45% of East Cleveland children tested have potentially harmful levels of lead!  We know that children who have been exposed to lead suffer from such deleterious effects as brain damage, behavioral problems, ADHD, vision and hearing damage, slowed growth, reproductive problems, etc.

This first planning meeting will take a look at East Cleveland's lead problem, discuss necessary actions to address the problem, talk about what is being done now, and talk about who else needs to be involved in the effort.  Outreach materials for distribution within the community will be available at the meeting also.

If you feel that you know of someone else who would be key to this effort, please forward this e-mail to them so that they may have an opportunity to attend the meeting.

Please respond to Kim Fuelling at ccoal2 [at] yahoo [dot] com">ccoal2 [at] yahoo [dot] com with your interest in the Coalition and ability to attend the February 11th meeting.

Be Well,

Kim
