A recent report by the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education warns that if current trends continue, the proportion of workers with high school diplomas and college degrees will decrease and the personal income of Americans will decline over the next 15 years.
A drop in the average level of education will depress personal income levels for Americans, in turn creating a corresponding decrease in the nation’s tax base. Read more. Download the report.

Ed, interesting juxtaposition of blog posts. Your other post suggests the key to city ED is attracting knowledge workers, while this one seems to suggest that we(the U.S.) is having problems producing those workers.
