CUYAHOGA - PUT WIND TURBINES HERE - DON'T WAIT FOR LAKE DREAM

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Fri, 03/30/2007 - 15:42.

Rather than wait 6 years with the hope of installing wind turbines "about three miles off Cleveland in Lake Eire", what's wrong with sending out a RFP right now for "about 10 turbines right here in Cleveland"

Before I get back to explaining further why I disagree with Dave Nash, Steve Dever, and Bill Mason (among others) I will affirmatively site the turbines where they can go RIGHT NOW, without bothering anyone, and they will be bringing income into the CPP grid.  Within the zone of the above Google Earth aerial 4 turbins can be sited.  I will set them in on the plan in my next post.  Several more turbines can be located towards Wendy Park (Ed - I need your go ahead on that), and a half dozen more towards the wsw in the park and along the highway. Matt Zone, this is your counsel area.  What do you think?

Jeff that is amazing

Wow what a photo - does Carney know you took that (LOL)? I tried to take a photo of the gate to this port facility and security came up and said I could not. Your markings are so informative. I drove by the Science Center windmill today and was reflecting on all the barriers to wind reaching it, as it slowly spun, spun, spun. Wind turbines in! Piles of polluting god knows what out. GCBL. I agree.

Disrupt IT

PHOTO'S FROM PUBLIC PROPERTY CANNOT BE DENIED BY SECURITY

Norm, where was the port gate you were photographing?  Whose property is it. Was it the drive ramp that goes down into the steel storage yard over the RR tracks?  I have a shot of that gate where there is a sign detailing the parking fees for Browns games.  The security folks are off base and acting illegally to tell anyone that they can't take photos if the photographer is on public property.  The security folks should be photographed and the issue taken up with their employer.

Clearly being uptight about being photographed is a wasted anxiety, when anyone can go to Google Earth and look right in anyones back yard.
