SHIP OF STATE IN THE REALNEO

I have often likened the efforts of do-gooders (I include myself in this caste) in NEO to the well intentioned efforts of passengers on the Titanic.

The passengers paid their fare, thought they were getting decent transportation, but the Captain wasn't minding the bridge - and the lookouts weren't using binoculars which were available on the ship.

So, while other ships in the berg-laden Atlantic had stopped their engines and were drifting to avoid collisions with ice, the Titanic forged ahead full steam - playing music to the passengers who were still warm inside their staterooms.

NEO is much the same as the Titanic - our steering house is gone, and our propulsion missing too.

But the bulk of the NEO ship is still afloat....while other ships pass us by...

The ship in the photo is in Port Colburne, Ont.
