Welcome back RealNEO!

Submitted by Phillip Williams on Wed, 06/08/2011 - 18:44.

I am happy to see RealNEO back in action.  I was surprised when I checked on the site to see it was down.  After a couple days of downtime I feared the site was gone.

Let's hope this time around we see more positive news, and better judgement on the use of RealNEO.  My name is neoPhillip and I owe the pride of my nickname to the origins of this site and the efforts and vision this site had back in 2005.

Looking forward to putting RealNEO back on my daily web site checklist!

BREATH MADE VISIBLE is the first feature length film about the life and career of Anna Halprin, the American dance pioneer who has helped redefine our notion of modern art with her belief in dance's power to teach, heal, and transform at all ages of life.

For those of us that use Skype we have enjoyed a service that has opened the doors of communication to countries and neighbors alike.  Being able to chat, talk, or video chat from PC to PC has been wonderful!  There are plenty of programs that do this as well (i.e.

The shocking truth about HIV and AIDS

Submitted by Phillip Williams on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 08:56.

I was in reading my emails today and came accross a link to youtube.  This is pretty normal, but what was interesting about this link was that this youtube video is a trailer for House of Numbers, a film that puts the topic of HIV and AIDS in a very different light.

Can't do Vegitarian? Think Flexitarian

Submitted by Phillip Williams on Mon, 09/14/2009 - 21:17.

It has come to my attention that I am overweight (for those that know me, stop laughing).  I have lost weight in the past, only to regain it and add a couple more pounds.

What to do? Adkins... no did that, now I am fatter.  How about the southbeach diet? No, same deal.  Hummm well since I am lazy I will need something easy.

A million grasshoppers

Submitted by Phillip Williams on Tue, 09/01/2009 - 09:51.

A physics teacher in high school, once told the students that while one grasshopper on the railroad tracks wouldn’t slow a train very much, a billion of them would .   With that thought in mind, read the following, obviously written by a good American.

Good idea . . .   one light bulb at a time . . . .

Congratulations to Obama

Welcome to a new day!!

A chance for change has happened, the people have spoken and our elected officials have listened. We now have a future not so certain... a future with potential for good or bad.

I am not sure what is in store for us now. I am happy to see the new day unfold before us all. January will be new year, and a new America.

Earth Hour 2008 - Turn off your lights March 29th 2008 at 8:00pm

Submitted by Phillip Williams on Sat, 03/29/2008 - 08:33.

So often people have asked "what can I do to be Green?", or "what can I do to help the environment".  This of course is all in the context of, "... as long as I don't have to lift a finger or spend an extra dime".

Hurry, hurry, Hurry..... Bang!

Submitted by Phillip Williams on Tue, 10/02/2007 - 07:37.

hurry, hurry, hurry... bang!

In a hurry to get to work?

We all run a few minutes late, we all hate rush hour commuting (those of us who can not or will not take RTA).  The point is that people seem not to drive during rush hour, but it is more a positive display of the chaos theory.  The graceful and sometimes not so graceful act of careening your vehicles down a paved road is a recipe for disaster..  The, to often, played game of "get so close that nobody can sneak in" results in accidents like the one show above.

Greenpeace Gets It Right: More Wind Power In Erie A Good Idea

Submitted by Phillip Williams on Thu, 08/30/2007 - 21:30.

Lake Erie

As many of you know there has been a lot of talk about wind energy coming to Cleveland.  The shores of Lake Erie could someday hold a farm of renewable energy windmils.

Over at TreeHugger.com there is interest in the shallow waters of our nearest great lake... but maybe Cleveland is not in the plans?  Head on over to thier site for an interesting article on what Greenpeace is thinking.

Is your apple notebook in need of a new look?

Submitted by Phillip Williams on Sat, 04/14/2007 - 15:07.

Pimp My Laptop
So I was just browsing the net as I like to do every so often.  I came accross a site that offers a way to bring a personal touch to your apple notebook.  I recommend checking out Pimp My Laptop.  Since they offer the ability to upload your own unique images and to make these high quality (safely removable) stickers for the lid of your notebook it would be really slick to have some local graphic artists create an image that rerpensents the neo-nation!

Hoodwire... Low income wireless not next... now!

Submitted by Phillip Williams on Sat, 02/17/2007 - 21:16.

In this world of privledged access, it was awesome to see the fine people at hoodwire come to light.

The following current TV video will give you a great idea of how people are making wireless access happen now.  The world of t-mobile pay to surf will sone be numbered.  There is so much available bandwidth in the USA now - there is no reason that only the wealthy should be able to use it.

"Five previously unseen candid photographs of Marilyn Monroe have now been released, with limited edition prints being distributed to select galleries throughout the United Kingdom.

The photographs are not posed, and capture the star in her most private moments- in bed, on a plane and in front of a mirror. Only 495 prints of each photo have been made, making them very exclusive.

The photos are were unveiledfor the first time today at a Marilyn-themed event at the Meller Gallery in Witney, Oxfordshire. They will be available only until Christmas."
