Even if you can not come, please pass this on to others There is a fantastic event right here in your town that has been going on for 11 years. It’s the Rock Your World Festival and Art Exhibition Month....
… And we desperately need your help. We need volunteers ! This event is the premier event of the Department of Arts Education of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. This is our 11th year of producing this fun packed month of events. Please come out to some of our events and learn what we know – the kids of CMSD actually do some great and wonderful things. And what better way to see the work these kids do, then up close and personal as a volunteers.
We need volunteers to help hang student art work – its actually very easy – on Friday afternoon, April 30th and the morning / early afternoon of Sat. May 1st. If you want to know more contact me, Karen M. C.-Keys at (216) 574-8635 or by replying to this posting or by e-mail at karen.clark-keys@cmsdnet.net The exhibitions are free and open to the public during the libraries normal working hours. Portions of the exhibition are also rotated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and to the lobby of the Ohio Theater. The next and most fun event is the Rock Your World Festival, always held the 3rd Saturday of May, this year it will be Sat., May 15th. This day-long festival is held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Students from all over the District come to sing, dance, play in bands, drum, and exhibit their artistic talents. Open to the public from 9:30 to 4:00pm and its free.
Even if you don’t volunteer, please come out for this free and fun event !
But we do have need for volunteers, so please contact me about the art exhibition, or Cynthia about the Rock Hall day. Even if you can not come, please pass this on to others
