We're not Detroit

When I first came back to Cleveland in 1992--I met up and had the good fortune to work with many amazing people who have made an enormous difference in changing the environment here.

I just want to say thank you today--especially to Tim Donovan.  For twenty plus years, Tim has toiled to make folks appreciate the Cuyahoga River Valley.  I don't take this for granted.

Happy to Say

That I live in the valley (around Tinkers Creek)...and enjoy driving along the canal to and from work each day. Back in the 80's I did some volunteer work for the Ohio and Erie Canal Society and the National Parks Administration. It is a miracle that much of that has come to fruition. We now have a little local farmers' market at the corner of Canal Rd. and Tinkers Creek Rd.

Thanks for the reminder, Laura. It's not something to be taken for granted.
