Panel looks for jobs ideas

The Council for Excellence in Government will hold a town hall meeting on jobs at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Cleveland State University's Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs. The nonprofit, nonpartisan group based in Washington, D.C., will ask residents for suggestions on job creation and the roles that government and the private sector should have in economic development. The session is also sponsored by the Global Markets Institute at Goldman Sachs. Panelists include Mayor Jane Campbell, Ohio Lt. Gov. Bruce Johnson and the head of the Cleveland AFL-CIO Federation of Labor John Ryan. The meeting is free, but seating is limited. Call 202-728-0418

Check out the sites below for their interest in wind turbine manufacturing:

Wouldn’t it be nice if Cleveland could get a tower manufacturing facility like Chattanooga ?

What if Mayor Campbell got a German turbine manufacturer like Sudbury, Ontario is working towards?

Or a Spanish turbine manufacture like Gamesa which Pennsylvania has?

Why couldn’t NEO become the wind turbine manufacturing center of the US?
