The Cache Shop is a thrift store in the basement of the Church of the Covenant on Euclid Avenue in University Circle. It is open Tuesdays and Thursdays and staffed by some very nice volunteers.They have special tables set up for the holidays with holiday decorations -- some vintage and all very cheap. 

Overall, the merchandise is not as high  quality as what you will find at St. Paul's Side Door Shop (I reviewed The Side Door Shop Dec. 1) but it is well organized and fun to shop.

There are lots of clothes, jewelry,  decorations, patterns, craft supplies, china, glass, ceramics, linens, art, trinquets and souvenirs. There are several carts of books organized by topic. I found a few interesting cookbooks and this classic children's book.

There are mens, womens and children's clothes, some are designer and in good condition others look a bit worn and were never anything special to begin with, but the staff have taken time to label sizes quite accurately.

The main room is illumninated with gothic revival style stained glass windows, which make the shopping experience bareable even if you search through rack after rack and don't find a thing.

Beware, there is a no refunds/return policy if you are buying gifts and I did n't ask if they enforce it, but at prices like $4 for a men's suit you can afford to take your chances and  call it a donation if it does n't fit.

For those of you who wish you were more artistic and could make all your holiday gifts, you could buy this ceramic platter with a yellow dahlia in the center and tell someone you made it in a ceramics class.
