What a hell-of-an-idea we had 70 years ago.    I saw this plastic sandwitch board outside a church.

Berkeley balcony collapse forensics - modular stick built with eye candy balconys stuck on

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 06/16/2015 - 11:49.

image NBC

From the image, it appears this is a 5 story wood frame pre-fab modular structure.

The balcony snapped right off the face of the building and is sitting on the balcony one floor below - spilling and killing a lot of people to the street concrete.

Waco makes me proud - USA Hurray!

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Mon, 05/18/2015 - 20:09.

If the forensics are developed accurately, it will be interesting to find whose bullets killed the 9 bikers.

Where the police have acknowledged they anticipated an issue at the Hooters,,,,I mean Twin Peeks ..... why didn't the police bring tear gas and foam spray instead of automatic weapons?

Prediction:   Most, if not all, of the 9 dead bikers were shot by police.   Just sayin'

Amtrak over speed derailment - blame engineer or management?

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Thu, 05/14/2015 - 09:53.

Should blame be allocated to the engineer?  It was his job to keep the train at a safe speed. Right?   Was there a back up engineer?  How much blame goes to the back up engineer?

 newS uPdate!

CLEVELAND, OHIO   March 31, 2015

Today the City of Cleveland Council voted a new freedom law into effect.

No longer will any restaurant, bar, bus or taxi be forced to feed, intoxicate, transport or carry any person showing a TEAM insignia for any NON CLEVELAND sports club.

That is the law.

This is not discrimination, but  freedom to fully demonstrate an individual's team loyalty.

Otherwise, how could loyal fans sleep at night?

Flight recorders should not be on the flight they record = dumb and dumber

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 03/25/2015 - 18:47.

Image; Voice recorder from GermanWings crash in French Alps.

It seems quite crazy to carry the voice and data flight recorders on board the aircraft which is being recorded.

GE uses satellites to capture all their jet engine operational data - engine temp, rpms, oil pressure, etc. etc.

OUR HEAT - killing on the other side of the globe

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 03/14/2015 - 13:18.

All fossil fuels = stored solar energy brought up from underground.

Screw the global warming scientist and global warming deniers.   We don't need them.

All we need is our own observations:   you mine coal (stored solar energy) and burn it, you are releasing the stored solar energy.  HEAT

Roof collapse from snow load - political and engineering forensics

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Fri, 03/06/2015 - 18:07.

This roof collapse (in first bay at gable end)  took place on a publicly owned/operated skating rink.   At 7:00 AM it was lucky that everyone in the building was, by chance, at the other end.   No one was injured or killed.

Code enforcement? Not so fast. Complicated situation.

Near Shaker Square - on the City of Cleveland side of Shaker Square (Shaker Square is on the border line between the City of Shaker Heights and City of Cleveland) runs East 130th Street.   On each side of East 130 are  4 story apartment buildings - about 1/2of the buildings are vacant.    No lights on, no trash out on the curb on pick up day. That means the place is empty of tenants.

Kid Killing Cleveland Cops - what do tire tracks tell us?

Can the mind set of the two officers who shot and killed Tamir Rice be determined from the path of their patrol car in their approach to what the police dispatcher described as someone  "pointing a gun at people"?   Note: the gunner was sitting at one of the park benches under the gazebo.

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 11/11/2014 - 23:37.

 Progress? or major Sickness?

While the NRA and gun folks suck up to their profit and paranoia, the rest of us taxpayers fund the cost of total insane craziness...shooter detection systems in grade schools.

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 11/01/2014 - 20:17.

The image above depicts the Allie's trenches (red) and the German trenches (blue) at the end of World War I in France. The trenches were aerially photographed during the war and recently each of hundreds of photographs were given GIS points and collated into a map which combined over 300 individual maps.  (Exhibit at Harvard's Pusey Library through Nov. 11).

Governor of Maine pls sue to confine Kaci Hickox et al as potential ebola incubators

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Thu, 10/30/2014 - 18:06.

This is an important opportunity to establish the states' right to confine potential disease vectors.

Does the state  have the right, and under what guidelines?

I hope Ms. Hickox does not carry ebola, but we need to know that someone like her - cocky, self assured, media motivated and just back from treating victims in a  hot zone of infection - can be restrained by the state for potentially being a disease vector.

( categories: ) removes Kasich Fitzgerald video and goes after Plunderbund for copyright violation

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 10/29/2014 - 20:43.

Here is a link to the report on Talking Points Memo.    Click on the last link to see the re-posted video.

Unfortunately, both these men are lousy.

Kasich is ignorant, can't sit up straight, and rude and Republican (coal man who paused Ohio's utilities green energy push).

Fitz is ignorant, lousy manager (didn't vet his first Lieutentant Gov), womanizer (parking in a warehouse lot at 4 am) , and un-professional.

Challenge your self to something further....136,000 feet above the earth's surface

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Fri, 10/24/2014 - 20:01.

This is my kinda stuff.

Totally not required by anything - ie work, the family, the government.

Just required because it is a challenge.  A challenge which gets into your gut and overtakes everything.   The best part of being alive!

You can see the image is at a low altitude (take off) because the balloon is not expanded.
