At 80 years old, Joan Southgate will be completing her 250 mile Underground Railroad walk from St. Catharines, Canada, to Cleveland's Cozad-Bates’ house. At 1:00 pm a celebration will be held there, 11508 Mayfield Rd; visit Restore Cleveland Hope for more details. Please considering attending this historic event before the Chili Rumble! DIRECTIONS Driving From I-90: Get off at MLK and head south (that's a right turn from I-90 East, or a left from I-90 West). Take MLK about 2 miles, exit to the right at the sign that says "Wade Park". At the end of the exit ramp make the extreme left onto Wade Park. Take the first left onto East Blvd and after you pass Ashbury (the first street on your right), just go ahead and park anywhere on East Blvd. We're in the first building after Ashbury. If all the spots are taken, just circle back and park anywhere on East Blvd. Driving or Biking From Mayfield Road: Take Mayfield across Euclid, it'll change names to Ford and then merge onto East Blvd. From there take the 2nd or so right onto E. 108th. Take a left when that dead-ends at Ashbury, and then a right when Ashbury dead-ends into East Blvd. We're in the first building on your right, and you can park anywhere on East Blvd. If all the spots are taken, just circle back and park anywhere on East Blvd. By Bus: Take the 326 (now called the 3) down superior and get off at East Blvd. Head east on East Blvd (towards and past the church) and we're just one block ahead on your left, the last building on your By Train: Take the red-line rapid and get off at East 120th stop, then head west on Euclid, right at E. 115th, left at Wade Park, right onto East Blvd, and we're in the first building on your right after Ashbury.

Personally--I am bummed to be working on this busy, fun day--I will be stuck here, but especially supporting Joan in spirit. She is a hero. I hope you save some food for her at the RUMBLE! She's bound to be hungry after all that walking :)
