TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Toxins possibly from algae on Lake Erie fouled the water supply of the state's fourth-largest city Saturday, forcing officials to issue warnings not to drink the water and the governor to declare a state of emergency as worried residents descended on stores, quickly clearing shelves of bottled water.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The midwest region is preparing for earthquakes that are bigger and more powerful than ever believed imaginable.

The U.S. Geological Survey updated their seismic hazards map last week, and in it, Kentucky is listed as one of 16 states at highest risk of earthquakes.

I walked by the historic bank building at corner of Pearl and Broadview today - looking in the window - it appears that the building is being systematically stripped of the marble wall trim.  The interior is very reminescent of the United Bank Building - which was renovated to house Crop restaurant.   The building is listed with CBRE commercial real estate.  http://www.cbre.com/EN/findproperty/Pages/default.aspx

Wake up America - we have folks who are willing to work hard - scrap collecting in a shopping cart is hard - but our system fails to allow them to be legitimately engaged.   

In Cleveland, Ohio (image above) and across the nation scrap metal yards are often busiest on Friday afternoons as the weeks' collection of metal is brought in for beer money.
