Its the second Friday of the month again and that means its time for another Tremont Art Walk!  The Ukranian Museum at 1202 Kenilworth will have an exhibit of pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs). Some of my favorite stops are Pilgrim Church (they will be showing independent films at 7 and 8:30 p.m. Firday night and 1, 7, and 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, they also exhibit the work of local artists) Doubting Thomas (probably the most avant garde gallery in NEO) Asterisk Gallery and Brandt Gallery. Art, entertainment, shopping, dining -- there is so much to do. Check out the website http://www.tremontartwalk.org/TAW.HTM

Ukranian Museum demo alert -Tremont

Standard case of paving paradise (or in this case a Schweinfurth house) to put up a parking lot. I know parking in Tremont is a big issue and is oft discussed here as is demolition. This is a sad story of parking woes in Tremont. The article also covers other demos and landmark news - thanks to Christopher Busta-Peck and Christine Borne. Great blog!

Tremont - Landmark's Commission

Good luck with this.

The Landmark's Commission is approving demolition of structurally sound historic homes.

The city will be left with parking lots, cardboard homes and lots of  mentally ill people.
