I've also been shopping for furniture.

Submitted by Oldroser on Sun, 02/03/2013 - 03:28.

Although my apartment is furnished, I still need some furniture. I can't afford the furniture in many shops, "antiques". But I was walking down the street the other day and saw beautiful furniture inside.

I sort of overdid my shopping

Submitted by Oldroser on Sun, 02/03/2013 - 03:07.

The other day I went to El Carmen, where people go to offer their hand crafted goods for sale, giving more opportunity to spread out than at the main, huge market.

It was getting dark and closing time, so the vendors really bargained with me, offering even bigger discounts if I would buy one more piece.

Recording the Story of Northeast Ohio

Submitted by lmcshane on Sat, 12/29/2012 - 14:16.

REALNEO has been a difficult experiment, but I hope that a national organization, maybe even the Library of Congress, decides that it is a site worthy of preservation.  We are undergoing a difficult time in our world history as technology changes our perception of reality and changes how our society operates. I really wish that there was a better way of recording the zeitgeist of our times.  How many blogs and digital content will survive and be recorded as books preserve our stories?

It was great to have today off --and to do two things I love to do--swim and eat.  I have a CWRU family connection and use of the pool there.  And, I love the days I get to visit the campus and relive the college milieu.

This summer's Cleveland Public Theatre troupe has a production with all the right elements--a sword fight, mermaids, pirates and, of course, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Wendy and Tinkerbell.

If you missed the magical performance in the beautiful Brooklyn Centre neighborhood--there are more performances scheduled.  Pack a picnic and bring the kids.
