Submitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 11/02/2011 - 20:03.
Now in little mid America there is a little dwindling ½ empty city called Cleveland.

In Cleveland there are little nickel and dime public corruption deals, and a few million dollar public corruption deals, and one Billion dollar public corruption deal  named MEDCON.

More than 14 million people are unemployed. Corporations and the rich still aren't paying their fair share. And tea party Republicans across the nation are still intent on attacking workers' rights, cutting public sector jobs, and gutting programs like Medicare and Social Security.

Progressive or Regressive Energy Solutions?

Submitted by lmcshane on Tue, 11/01/2011 - 09:14.

Across Ohio--cities are looking at progressive ways to produce sustainable energy.  Zoos are at the forefront of this trend, most likely,  because they are in the business of saving species from extinction.

The Cincinatti Zoo has the largest publicly accessible solar array in Ohio.  Columbus and Akron will be following soon.

Don't miss--the last exhibit at the Chester address for the CSU Art Gallery.  A great write-up here:
http://www.csuohio.edu/artgallery/2011-2012/2307/

I was a student at CSU, briefly during the eighties, and the art building was my home.  The exhibit is bittersweet.  The building will be torn down for new student housing and the gallery will be relocated to Playhouse Square in the Middough Building.

Comment block now hidden by default and Recent Blog Posts block hidable - users may activate them individually

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 10/29/2011 - 10:21.

Realneo Administration  over the past few days has recieved requests from users to gussy up the front page of Realneo and bury the vitriolic stuff which has hanging around and popping up in the right hand side bar.

It turns out that the present Drupal modules operating Realneo can be set by the administration and any realneo user to show by default or hide by default any one of the blocks on the front page of Realneo.  This may be part of the software solution needed.   There in Drupal all the time....

By now, some City of Cleveland residents are alerted to the fact that the Jackson administration pledged away $1.5 million dollars of your money to Peter Tien (of Sunpo Optu LED scam) to facilitate the construction of a garbage incinerator on Ridge Road.

The Blue Flu in Cleveland..... 2011

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Thu, 10/27/2011 - 21:56.

So, the police are too busy to handle all their calls and overwhelmed to degrees of questionability.....What do we do as citizens? Is this a good or bad thing with a population decline, too many quotas of low income citizens that cannot afford to sustain all that traffic court business or is it just the "Blue Flu" saying haha to the people? From what I am hearing from several cops....it's getting ugly out here.... Pretty scary if you ask me.

Brainwashing and Black eyes go away......in time...with a good support network.

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Thu, 10/27/2011 - 13:05.

It's not nice to abuse others....It's not nice to attempt to control others or to assault them with negative words. But sometimes, it is necessary to defend against an abusive person to protect one's own life. It's an ugly process...and it's difficult...but it can be endured and survived...Prayers to all the victims of abusers around the globe! May God Bless.

Here is a link to the Plain Press which reports on continuing discussion regarding music/venues/BOZA in Cleveland, Ohio  brought to my  attention by a Realneo reader.    I have two comments: 1.  The legislation is about allowing bars/ businesses to obtain more income.  2. Don't trust anything Mr.

The Energizer Bunny of the rose world--Uncle Joe

Submitted by Oldroser on Mon, 10/24/2011 - 03:35.
A fully open Uncle Joe rose

I grow a dark red 1972 hybrid tea rose, bred by the Kern Rose Nursery that was in Mentor. I does not produce a lot of blooms, and those it does produce seldom open fully to show their golden stamens. Of course with 75-80 petals of good substance to open, it is no wonder. This bud I photographed October 1.

And six days later on October 7.

And three days later on October 10.

Owner of new Tremont beauty shop gives Oldroser a gorgeous rose

Submitted by Oldroser on Mon, 10/24/2011 - 02:10.

A new beauty shop has opened in Tremont, at W. 10th & Literary. I was walking my dogs along the Literary side of its building where there is a large yard with three gorgeous red rose bushes bearing buds. I was trying to decide which was the most beautiful when the owner, Kelly, came out and asked if I would like a rose.

Well, yes! And so Oldroser, who has given away over forty rose bouquets this year, was herself given a fantastically beautiful rose.
