blogsGun Study in NEOSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 07/16/2011 - 22:55.
This is a plastic water pistol I found in the park. Looked like the lawnmower ran over it. What was in the head of the designer...was it molded in China...did a parent buy it for their kid... Pretty sophisticated color scheme. So I laid the broken pieces out on a white matt for this study.

So much for transparency--did you know that CE FitzGerald quietly disposed of Richard Klaibur at the County Engineer's office and created an even larger Public Works bureaucracy under former ODOT 12 Deputy Director Bonnie Teeuwen? !!

ANOTHER CHANCE TO ASK O.D.O.T. QUESTIONSSubmitted by Oldroser on Tue, 07/12/2011 - 20:32.
TWDC sent out another announcement about the ODOT updates, which are to be held monthly. This one gives very little time since the meeting is TOMORROW. Since they are to be held every month, it looks like it will always be on a Wednesday and at Sokolowski's. Tonight is only an hour, not two hours as it was last time. Text of the message follows.

BEATING THE HEAT WITH PLEASANT PASS TIMES............AND LESSONSSubmitted by jerleen1 on Mon, 07/11/2011 - 00:35.
Today was a good day to move the machines out onto the front porch, give my granddaughter (who just turned 8) a big bag of scrap material and enjoy watching her learning to piece her first strip (crazy) quilt. When we packed up around 4:30, she looked over and said, "Grandma, didn't we have a great day." We're starting a "Summer 2011" scrapbook to include all the different things she's learning to do while school's out. We started this project with giving her some cake icing and letting her decorate a cake.
