Fine Tuning Economic Development In Northeast, Ohio

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Sat, 06/11/2011 - 00:35.

If you want to consider strategies for "ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INVESTMENTS" in NEO; I believe that first you must protect the public at large from abusive practices that are unjust. You must create a trustworthy environment that is not about pay to play politics. NEO has countless people who have been denegrated and denied equal access to resources in order to develop ideas, businesses, and to participate democratically. It's a hush-hush truth that cannot be denied anymore.

Captain Frank's Restaurant on Lake Erie Shoreline, Cleveland, Ohio

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Sat, 05/21/2011 - 00:54.

Eating in Cleveland has transformed over the generations. Family restaurants bringing great cultural diversity to our city have been a great asset in our town for generations. Many places have come and gone through the years. Some have survived for generations while others have drown for whatever reasons. I do not recall ever eating at this location, yet I believe it has significant history in our City of Cleveland life. If you have any information about it, please share.

My Garden....

While I watch others plant seeds in the groud, nourish their gardens, and watch the seeds they sow turn into blossoming plants....I enjoy watching the child I brought into our world grow up and blossom with amazement.

A Mother's Day Salute to All Women Who have ever Played A Part in Touching another person's life....

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Sat, 05/07/2011 - 22:51.

My mom's spirit never leaves me....with each sunrise and sunset, she is the sun & moon in my life... Reminders of her remain with me in every enchanting laugh I hear from my giggling child, in every Motown song on the radio, and with every crossword puzzle in the daily newspaper I see... Mom's love was so boundless and unconditional and forgiving that I have forever been blessed and know this to the depths of my soul.

Tremont West Development Corporation ???'s

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Sat, 05/07/2011 - 00:14.

Tremont West CDC has been the target of much controversy. Councilmen joined forces for years to allocate our CDBG fund dollars to this agency in order to invest in the community formerly known at large as "THE SOUTHSIDE" of Cleveland. In 2011, the results of years of investment reveals quite a bit of dissention amongst the residents while putting lipstick on the pig...and sweeping endless corruption under the carpets...and intimidating anyone who works towards transparency in such an organization.

....and to the behind the scenes folks who are turning over rocks until the truth comes out. While generations of the past ran away from this nightmare of corruption to live better lives... Many stayed because of whatever dynamics or choices and endured against the odds in this climate...

Why has the Demo Activity practically stopped in our community????

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Fri, 05/06/2011 - 16:17.

Can anyone share the reasons & rhymes of what's going on with our $40 Million of NSP funding through the City of Cleveland Community Development Department, Demolitions Department, the CDC's, and the City Council????? Is it all being steered to downtown development instead of being used in the struggling neighborhoods it was meant to "stabilize?" We, the citizens of Cleveland, deserve a balance sheet on these funds.... what's the story, Cleveland City Council? Why all the distractions? It's pretty simple at the end of the day.....

Madison Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44102 from West 65th to West 117th....

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Fri, 04/29/2011 - 17:55.

This ghosttown is right in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio along the Madison Avenue business district. The remnants that remain almost seem out of place in this neck of the woods. From West 65th Street where Madison stops now (As the access to West 58th Street has been stopped for years) to the edge of Lakewood on West 117th, Madison avenue is a deep reflection the blight that hit Cleveland, Ohio after 36 years of Community Development was used to empower our citizens...

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Thu, 04/28/2011 - 12:29.

When you turn on your natural gas furnace to heat your home in the winter or your natural gas hot water tank for a steaming bath or your gas stove to cook a yummy meal; did you ever think twice about the source of that natural gas? With recent regulations to the gas companies, many families have been able to think about the source providers that they purchase the resource from; but what about "WHERE" it comes from?

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Wed, 04/27/2011 - 15:45.

Demolitions are clearing land daily in Ward 14 for your next COMMUNITY GARDEN....

Here's a community Garden site on West 48th Street, South of Clark... You can find these sites around the neighborhood in vacant lots. Citizens unite every Spring to plant fresh flowers and vegetables in these empty lots. Soon, there will be enough vacant lots to support more food than is needed by the dwindling population of Cleveland.
