East Cle traffic cameras - Make public record request for revenue data

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 10/19/2011 - 09:53.

East Cleveland, Ohio has a history of mobile traffic cameras.  The cameras are operated by a private company, American Traffic Solutions.    (ATS's web site has a  map of their US operations.)    Realneo carried the image above in 2009.

When will Cuyahoga County Executive FitzGerald move to nullify MEDCON "contract"?

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 10/18/2011 - 10:18.
Cuyahoga County  is going to be financially drained by the MEDCON just as Harrisburg Pa has been financially drained by a “trash incinerator”.

MEDCON is a morbid PARASITE on Cuyahoga County.

When will County Executive FitzGerald take action to nullify the odious MEDCON “deal” with MMPI?

The sooner the better.

Here’s Why:

Constitutional Amendment to Close D.C. - Terminate our legislators’ OCCUPATION OF Washington, D.C.!

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sun, 10/16/2011 - 10:13.

When NYC Mayor Bloomberg indicated that the Occupy Wall Street petitioning in Zuccotti Park needed to be closed down for pressure washing and sanitizing, he got me thinking.....

The operation of our federal government out of one location, Washington D.C., plays directly into the hands of corporate “citizens” and operates directly  against the interests of citizen citizens.

Finally, Citizens react against banks and income disparity in USA - Occupy Wall Street arrests

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 10/01/2011 - 22:31.

Civil Disobedience is in order and today on the Brooklyn Bridge we got a little - the BBC reports in the foregoing link.

Finally, citizens are beginning to have the confidence in their convictions  that citizens expressed in the 1960's against the Viet Nam War.

Let's go!

We are way overdue.

Anhydrous Ammonia - pumping up corn and soybean yeilds with fossil fuel

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 10/01/2011 - 20:14.

When you travel around the USA you will notice that there are lots of new grain silos - shiny galvanized tanks with elevators and gravity distribution tubes.

The old, much smaller volume, wire enclosed corn cribs are empty - just poison ivy growing on them.

(I will get some images up here to demonstrate these structures)

What has brought about the vast new storage facilities in our long established agricultural areas?

MEDCON will be larger municipal failure than Harrisburg Incinerator

Bank robbers go into a bank with a bag and a gun and may come out with a few pounds of cash.
Then they get shot dead on the street or in the parking lot, with the red dye packs exploding in their bag.

Two wheel bike Cargo Transporter from Holland

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 17:35.

If you have ever tried to carry 50 or 100 pounds on a conventional two wheel  bicycle you know that there is no adequate, safe, balanced way to do it.  Moving heavy cargo or more than one passenger on a bike in the United States isn’t happening.

But we have 550hp Ford Mustangs! which we love! So testosterone!

Sleeping Bag Flag

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 09/17/2011 - 12:59.

Does it desecrate the United States of America flag to sleep in it?

That's one question.

Then there is another question:

Does it desecrate the United States of America for a homeless person to store their sleeping bag flag bedding in a tree in a park during the day when the homeless person needs to be away from their park?

Anyway, just askin'

Coral Mushroom form and function

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Thu, 09/15/2011 - 10:42.

It is clear why the coral mushroom got its name - because the mushroom looks so similar to sea coral.

While the sea coral growns in water, the mushroom grows in air.

Why the similar architecture when the growth medium is liquid vs gas?

Living ON Main Street, USA

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 09/14/2011 - 15:40.

There is homelessness everywhere - in the US, in Canada, South America, Europe, etc. - and you see cardboard sleep matts and duffles waiting in unlikely spots for their owner's return.    Maybe the safest place for a homeless person to leave their few possesions during the day - is tucked behind a column right on the public sidewalk!

United States National Radio Quiet Zone

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 09/13/2011 - 18:59.

Human communication is caught in either the aural (doesn't go that far), the radio (goes a long, long way), the visual (smoke signals, goes for light years), and perhaps other modes not yet developed.

Story in progress...

The bats were out eating the fury flurry of mosquitos, the woods were alive with water noises from the brook.

In the open field where there was still a touch of daylight the willy nilly gardens were bursting with pumpkins, sunflowers and ripe red tomatoes.
