Would a Corporation advertise to intentionally promote the FAILURE of one of it's products? You're crazy Man!

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Mon, 08/19/2013 - 16:56.

In a recent New Yorker Magazine (August 12/19, 2013) I noticed a two page advertisement that struck me - the ad was so drab, so unispired, so gray, so boring - something was suspicious about it.

The ad was a total turn off for the product that the ad was allegedly "promoting" - showing flashlight batteries in a schizoid graffic?   Huh?

Steelyard Walmart was selling Moldy Pineapples.....

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Sun, 08/18/2013 - 22:45.

I went to Steelyard Walmart last week. There was a huge island of what looked to be beautiful pineapples....upon getting closer, the odor of MOLD permeated the area. As I picked up a couple pineapples and smelled them; it was obvious that several of the batch had mold somewhere on them despite not seeing the mold. I asked one of the workers if he noticed it...He tried several until it hit him. He hollared at a produce manager. That manager upon review stated that they would have all of them removed. There were other pineapples placed at different locations.

Now that it’s unsealed, Szymoniak, as the named plaintiff, can go forward and prove the case. Along with her legal team (which includes the law firm of Grant & Eisenhoffer, which has recovered more money under the False Claims Act than any firm in the country), Szymoniak can pursue discovery and go to trial against the rest of the named defendants, including HSBC, the Bank of New York Mellon, Deutsche Bank and US Bank.

FCC votes to reduce rates for prison phone calls - prison industrial complex got 88% from cost of a call from phone co.s(corrupt

Submitted by Quest-News-Serv... on Sun, 08/11/2013 - 19:55.

"This is a means to help strengthen families," FCC Acting Chairwoman Mignon Clyburn told CNNMoney before the vote took place. "Communication is key, particularly when families are separated."

A typical 15-minute, state-to-state call costs $17 in some states, compared to about $1 in New York, where prison phone rates have already been reformed. That can make communication with family members prohibitively expensive for many inmates.

Bridge over the River Cuyahoga

Submitted by lmcshane on Mon, 08/05/2013 - 04:12.

Trains share the corridor  with cyclists and pedestrians on the Great Allegheny Passage.

Meanwhile, in Northeast Ohio - there is one train trestle that separates the public from our lakefront.  Not such an insurmountable obstacle!!!

Walk the Walk: If all who enjoyed Frank's parties would contribute the cost of their daily latte, his property would be safe.

Submitted by Oldroser on Wed, 07/31/2013 - 03:45.

Much has been written here about the shameful way Frank Giglio has been treated and the illegal, not just crooked, way his property was stolen. Now, Lily writes that, although he is now on the monthly pay plan, there is a chance that he might also lose his mother's property. She herself is in terrific pain and so less able to do her usual, magnificant job of helping others.

Cuyahoga County - and the LOOPHOLE

Submitted by lmcshane on Sat, 07/27/2013 - 12:16.

Why is it that anyone with delinquent property taxes in Cuyahoga County can continue to buy additional properties?

Would you NOT think that delinquent tax status on any property would preclude a delinquent owner from buying a property from Fannie Mae?

Well, it just happened in my neighborhood and this time the guy didn't even bother to camouflage his name with an LLC - like good old Lucky Ogor!

Personal affiliations cannot be legislated, dictated, constitutionally dictated.

Love and affection and interest cannot be mandated via politics.

These folks are showing us (in Ohio) that personal relationships are defined by those in the relationship, not by government.

The STUPID CALENDAR OF EVENTS.....divide and conquer....

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Tue, 07/23/2013 - 13:16.

Look, I know this sounds stupid; because we all live different lives....but when I was campaigning; I wanted to impose a county wide CALENDAR OF EVENTS and post it so that EVERY EVENT IN THE COUNTY was posted, public, private, and in between.....Perhaps a database of opportunities free and costly, educational and artistic, loving and caring; for the public at large to see and have the timely opportunity to plan and participate in along the way....

Good Night All...............

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Tue, 07/23/2013 - 01:27.

Fun....what is it?

Shall we sing, dance, drink, and be merry?

Shall we swim, play cornhole, and watch TV?

Shall we play some video games, watch a movie, or hang out around a bar?

Shall we tell jokes, hang out around a bon fire, and roast some weenies?

Shall we????

I mean; it's all a matter of opinion....FUN...

For the corrupt; it's robbing the working class and using the quotas of poor folks to climb the career ladders...

For the working man; it's beating down the poor man...

Hot weather is the end for many.    Yet, we continue to selfishly cool down our private space automobiles and buildings while using the atmosphere, lakes, and oceans as a publc exhaust heat sink/sewer.
