THE JACOBS SHOE DROPS ON MED MART

Submitted by Roldo on Sun, 04/19/2009 - 09:42.

“I would suggest to you that the Mall C site is by far the superior site for several reasons,” writes Jeff Jacobs in an ad today. He didn’t add, “And my dad owns the hotel and parking garage across the street!”

Two developers – Ratners & Jacobs – have been playing this game for at least 20 years.

Both seek public subsidy for their private businesses.

JEFF JOHNSON - A FUTURE MAYOR?

Submitted by Roldo on Sat, 04/18/2009 - 16:19.

The retirement of Glenville Councilwoman Sabra Pierce Scott should mean a return to city hall of Jeff Johnson. With a bit of humility Johnson becomes a strong future possibility for Mayor of Cleveland.

Wordpress versus Drupal

Just wondering if folks could elaborate on the strengths and weaknesses of these open source content management platforms?

Wordpress has more Facebook fans, so I guess it's the more popular of the two--but is popularity everything?

Headed to Cleveland - will be there next week

Submitted by marccanter on Fri, 04/17/2009 - 11:53.

Hey folks

Norm has convinced me that I need to be in town - so I'll be there next week.

We've also setup a test/demo social network - if you want to come on over and join - to show off what we can do.  Easily.

I'm excited as hell.

I've also attached in image I'm using to explain what I call the 'virtuous circle' we're setting up.

Submitted by Quest-News-Serv... on Fri, 04/17/2009 - 04:08.
A little humor to start the day :)
how to wash a act

1. Throughly clean the toilet.
2. Add the required amount of shampoo to the toilet water.
3. Get the cat and carry him to the bathroom.
4. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids.(you may have to stand on the lid) Caution: Do not get any part of your body too close to the edge, as his paws will be reaching for anything he can find.
5. Flush the toilet three or four times.

I don't really know what to think about all this, but it really is instructive about just how lost today's MSM has become.  Total, mind blowing, cluelessness.  With a heavy dose of cowardice, arrogance, and stupidity thrown in.

In today's tough economy, who doesn't want a good deal?  Cleveland  features a variety of interesting taverns, but one of my favorites is The Tavern Company - this little gem lies tucked away near the Cedar-Lee intersection  (2260 Lee Rd) in the Heights.
