blogsOhio Architect-Artist, Andrew Reach, Creates Poster for D.C. MarchSubmitted by Eternity on Fri, 10/16/2009 - 15:42.
Andrew Reach @ Equality Across America - As a disabled gay man in a loving relationship for almost three decades, I’m not physically capable of marching. So the way me and my long term partner Bruce Baumwoll want to give back to the movement for our equality is through my art. We’re very passionate about the healing power of art. It’s my lifeline to coping with living in a state of constant pain. We share the art to give people hope and inspiration in their own lives.

Welcome Bill Botkin from Today's Business Products... Now, About Our Brightest Greenest Discount?!Submitted by Norm Roulet on Thu, 10/15/2009 - 22:04.
Welcome to REALNEO, new REAL COOP member and recent Cleveland transplant Bill Botkin. Thanks for joining our real NEO community. Bill's REALNEO member bio reads: "I am a transplant from Columbus as of 2 years ago. My career has spanned 20 years in the copier/mfp industry and I recently made the change to the Office Supply/Furniture Industry where I discovered Sustainability. I am looking to become more involved in the Cleveland area." Bill came to the right place! Because Bill filled out his REALNEO user profile with useful information about himself and his employer, I found reasons to learn more about Bill and spent some time visiting his employer's website - Today's Business Products - where Bill "discovered Sustainability"... and Today's Business Products seems to have a good interest in sustainability - they list many "green products".

Time Clock in a Pine NeedleSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Thu, 10/15/2009 - 13:50.
When leaves begin to get their Fall Color the usual explanation is that the sugars in the leaf tissues have been modified by the reduction in the daily amount of sunlight and the reduction in air temperature as the sun heads to the winter solstice.
This explanation for leafy trees may be supportable, but not with conifers like the white pine (

RealCoop Post Office Box 20046 - want the Good News or Bad News 1st?Submitted by Jeff Buster on Thu, 10/15/2009 - 13:09.
It has been several months since anyone has gone to the RealCoop PO Box. So when I finally got there yesterday I wasn't sure what to expect. Maybe there would be some small donation checks. Maybe there would be some outstanding bills. The Good News is that when I opened the box, there were no summons and only one bill ($22.00 for the next 6 months for the PO box)

Follow the povertySubmitted by Tom Orange on Wed, 10/14/2009 - 17:26.
"Cleveland has lost more population and housing in the past 5 years than previous trends would have suggested.... The movement of many poor residents to the suburbs surrounding Cleveland is one aspect of the new reality. A early sign of this trend can be seen in the growth of foodstamp recipients in many suburban municipalities.

CLASS WARFARE BY SUPPOSEDLY INCONSEQUENTIAL TAXESSubmitted by Roldo on Wed, 10/14/2009 - 14:10.
You don’t understand the power and cost of small, supposedly inconsequential taxes on “little people” in contrast to taxes that hit the “big people” unless and until you total up the cost. Then only blindness hides the truth.

Issue 3Submitted by jeffreding on Wed, 10/14/2009 - 13:14.
VOTE NO ON ISSUE 3. There are many reasons why this issue should go down in defeat, as far as I'm concerned, not least being the fact that Cleveland is such a poor city already we don't need more outlets for the poorest to spend all their money on an if/come situation.
