The Passerby I Haven’t Seen RecentlySubmitted by Jeff Buster on Mon, 01/11/2010 - 11:26.
We all have memories of people we pass by regularly on our daily travels. In front of our house, on the bus, at work.
These people are part of our personal landscape. Though seen regularly, we often may never actually converse with them.
There was an older man who walked past my house on his way to the grocery store. His back was so bent that even with his brace he was facing straight down to the pavement. ( categories: )

Andrew Carnegie provided over 2,500 libraries across the world between 1883 and 1929. What a great idea and gift. The Brooklyn Branch of the Cleveland Public Library is one of Carnegie's libraries.

What Children's story and Where?Submitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 12/30/2009 - 00:15.
I'm on a roll through past images on the external hard drive. Name the children's story being re-enacted here, and the location of the re-enactment for the satisfaction of figuring it out, and for a small replica of the namesake. Good luck; shipping not included.

HiIQ fella for JerleenSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 12/29/2009 - 23:40.
I have been to many work meetings where the boss lacked the intelligent look of this kid. Jerleen has described tricks pulled by goats that show that goats have lots of smarts and a sense of humor. ( categories: )
Stucco at WorkSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 12/29/2009 - 23:08.
Stucco is the surface on this convertible building.
No architect or decorator could conceive of the magnificent color scheme that the wear of the weather produced.
Please bear with me, I have a few more stucco masterpieces to promote on Realneo over the next few days.

Here is one of the Out of Sight Out of Mind Parking meters recently (finally) installed in downtown Cleveland, Ohio - just in time for XMAS. This one is right next to Wahoo Field. These bright yellow Icons give Downtown Cleveland a clean, friendly feeling, don't they?

Another Candle Light Vigil - Thanksgiving near Imperial Ave.Submitted by Jeff Buster on Thu, 12/03/2009 - 22:01.
When I first went by it was almost midnight on Thanksgiving and there were about 6 candles on each side of the sidewalk - very cool. I couldn't stop at the time to image them, but I went back about 20 minutes later and all but these two had gone out. ( categories: )
Citizens are as smart as Wasps - Community Insulation can prove itSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 12/02/2009 - 16:52.
This Community Insulation post is the first plank in my Cuyahoga County Executive campaign platform.
Community Insulation is where citizen comfort begins.
When you are cold (or too hot) you don’t feel very civic, friendly, or concerned about others.

FOLDED LAUNDRY - BROKE ME UPSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Sun, 11/29/2009 - 20:37.
When you have a box truck with a hydraulic lift gate everyone who is moving or selling a house that knows you checks in with you.
That’s because moving furniture is a lot easier if you can roll the heavy stuff on a dolly onto the truck’s hydraulic lift gate, push a button (using the truck’s battery power to run a hydraulic pump which elevates the lift gate) and then roll the furniture into the box.
Consequently, there was nothing out of the usual when my riend Charlie invited me to dinner
